A Recap After Your Tour
Thank you for touring Haiku.
Once you have walked the property, it becomes much easier to imagine how your wedding day can flow through the gardens, ceremony spaces, indoor rooms, lounges, patios, and reception areas.
This guide is meant to recap the important details we likely discussed during your walking tour, including pricing, payments, timing, bar service, vendor communication, rain plans, decor, dancing, and what is included in your wedding package.
Our goal is to make the planning process feel thoughtful, organized, and supported from the moment you book through the end of your wedding night.
Venue Pricing & Payment Schedule
Haiku does not offer verbal holds on wedding dates. A date is officially reserved once a wedding package is selected and the 40% non-refundable retainer is paid. This retainer holds both your date and your space.
The remaining balance is paid in two additional payments:
30% second payment
Due at the halfway mark between booking and your wedding date. For example, if your wedding is booked one year out, this payment would typically be due around six months before the wedding.
30% final payment
Due one month before the wedding date.
While we host both ceremonies and receptions at Haiku, we do not host formal rehearsals. Our approach is very hands-on, and because of the way our team guides the flow of the day, a traditional rehearsal is usually not necessary.
However, if time allows and it is needed, we can do a quick run-through before guest arrival.
Wedding Day Timing
Our wedding packages are priced by the hour, beginning at a 3-hour minimum and extending up to 6 hours. Your package time begins at the ceremony start time.
Booked couples and their wedding party may arrive 2 hours before the ceremony start time. This early access gives you time for getting settled, taking photos, final touches, and preparing for the ceremony.
Guest arrival begins 30 minutes before the ceremony start time.
For example, if you book a 5-hour wedding and reception package with a 5:00 PM ceremony, you and your wedding party may arrive at 3:00 PM. Guest arrival would begin at 4:30 PM, your ceremony would begin at 5:00 PM, and your event would run until 10:00 PM.
All events at Haiku conclude by 10:00 PM.
Bar Service
Haiku provides all bar service. No outside alcohol is allowed. Because we have limited bar space, we are not able to accommodate special requests, but we do provide a diverse selection of beverages and nonalcoholic options.
All bar packages include bartenders, glassware, mixers, ice, and nonalcoholic options.

Secondary Bar Add-On
For guest counts over 75, couples may add a secondary bar for $500 to help reduce lines and keep bar service flowing smoothly.
One of the reasons booking with Haiku feels so stress-free is that we help organize the moving pieces once your vendors are booked. You will complete a short questionnaire that gives us the important details we need to begin coordinating your day.
From there, your Haiku coordinator will connect with your vendors to confirm arrival times, setup needs, location details, and other key information. We then use those details to create a wedding day timeline that helps keep everything flowing smoothly, so you and your guests can stay focused on enjoying the celebration.
Consumption Bar
Drinks range from $7–$15 and are charged per drink. A credit card is required at the beginning of the event, and an automatic 20% gratuity is added at the end of the tab.
Please note: Bar packages cannot be mixed. For example, we are not able to offer beer and wine as one package while making cocktails a cash bar. To keep service clear and smooth, couples select one bar option for the event.
Coordination
& Vendor Communication
One of the things that makes weddings at Haiku feel so stress-free is the support that comes with your package.
Your wedding package includes a day-of coordinator, but our coordination support begins well before the wedding day. Think of this role as more of a 3-month-out coordinator/planner.

Once you have booked your wedding vendors, your Haiku coordinator will step in to help manage the details. Your coordinator will contact your booked vendors, confirm arrival times, review setup needs, and help coordinate the overall flow of the day.
This helps make sure everyone knows when to arrive, where to go, and what they need in order to do their job well.

Your coordinator will also work closely with Haiku’s design team to help execute your garden wedding vision throughout the property.
From ceremony setup to reception flow, lounge placement, decor details, and rain plan adjustments, our team helps make sure the space feels intentional, beautiful, and aligned with the day you are planning.

You are welcome to book vendors outside of our preferred list, and there is no fee to do so. However, our preferred vendors are listed for a reason — they are vetted, familiar with Haiku, and know how to work smoothly within a garden venue.
No matter who you book, your coordinator will connect with your vendor team to confirm the key details needed for a smooth wedding day.

Caterers must be licensed, insured, and provide their own service team. This includes staff for food service, bussing, dishwashing, and dining cleanup.
Pro tip: Your Haiku team keeps the wedding flowing — your catering team keeps dinner flowing.

Whether you are dreaming of a classic wedding cake, mini cakes, a small cutting cake, cupcakes, or a dessert table, your sweet treats vendor helps bring a little extra joy to the celebration. Whatever your taste, there is always room for something sweet.

Haiku has hosted DJs, acoustic musicians, and full bands in the garden.
Most DJs set up on the outdoor platform. Bands usually require covered space and may be placed on the Deck or inside the Jungle Room.

Your coordinator will confirm floral drop-off times, installation needs, and setup details directly with your florist.

Your photographer helps capture the full story of your day, from getting ready to the final moments.
Pro tip: Choose a photographer whose style you love and whose personality you actually enjoy.

Your wedding package includes an officiant, and you are welcome to choose one from our trusted list. You may also book your own officiant if you already have someone special in mind.
Choosing your own officiant does not change the package price, but it does allow you to personalize the ceremony with someone who feels meaningful to you.

You are welcome to use our preferred vendor list or book your own. Either way, your Haiku coordinator will help gather the important details so the day flows smoothly.

DJ CC, also known on stage as Blackie Rose, brings serious talent and great energy to a wedding day. He is both a phenomenal DJ and an acoustic guitarist, making him a wonderful choice for couples who want music that feels personal, polished, and fun.
Indoor Spaces, Rain Plans & Flexible Layouts
One of the best things about Haiku is that the spaces are flexible. Your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, music, and specialty moments can shift depending on guest count, weather, and the overall flow of the day.
To help you visualize your options, we’ve included a Rain Plan Worksheet with space-by-space layout ideas for guest counts under 75 and over 75, along with a venue map that includes clickable photo links so you can better picture each area.
The Chapel, Jungle Room, Deck, Lawn, Back Patio, Canopy, and tented areas can all be used in different ways. Your Haiku coordinator will help guide the best layout for your guest count, season, weather plan, and overall wedding vision.
Where Do We Dance?
We are often asked, “Where do we dance?”
Our answer: Anywhere.
If the weather is beautiful, we love an open-air dance moment on the lawn. Couples may also choose to dance on the MainStage, also known as the Deck, which gives the reception a fun, lively focal point.
Your DJ can set up on the outdoor DJ platform or on the MainStage, depending on the layout and flow of your event. If weather or guest count calls for an indoor option, we can help configure the Chapel, Jungle Room, or tented areas in a way that makes sense for your celebration.
Wedding Entertainment
Although you, yourselves, will be the stars of the “show” let’s not forget that there will be many long periods for guests to be waiting while you are being photographed; while the venue is changed over for the evening party. During these times some entertainment will break the ice between your families, distract younger guests and provide a sense ofd flow between the main parts of the day.
A tarot card reader could be hired to visit each table during the wedding breakfast and entertain each group in turn for a few minutes. Work out how many tables you have and allow five to ten minutes for each one plus some extra for moving around.
For the children it can be a long time to behave nicely; a balloon modeler, puppeteer or even, a sitting service could be hired for the day. Face painters are also popular with children.
Live music can give a sophisticated feel to the evening. You could hire a saxophonist or pianist for your guests to enjoy. Or maybe there is a local band you’ve heard at another party? DJ’s, are of course, big demand for the evening. The best ones will be booked up quickly so make sure you book in advance. Think about the style of music you and your guests would like to listen to, from dance to rock ‘n’ roll. But don’t worry, once you book with Haiku, we’ll share our vendor list which consists of multiple reception ideas and contacts.
In the end, remember it’s your special day, so make sure it is personal and memorable for the two of you.

Some venues have additional fees that may not be obvious at first, such as uncorking fees, service fees, cleaning fees, staffing fees, or required add-ons.
At Haiku, we keep it simple. Couples have a venue/package fee and a bar package fee. No surprise uncorking fees. No hidden “gotcha” costs.

Some venues charge a fee if you book vendors outside of their preferred list. Others may have pay-to-play vendor relationships, where vendors pay to be recommended.
At Haiku, we do prefer that you consider our vendor list because those vendors are vetted, trusted, and familiar with the property. But if you choose to book outside of our list, there is no additional fee.

Many venues have one main dressing suite but no true second space for the other partner, groom, or wedding party to get ready.
At Haiku, we have the dressing suite plus Queen Wayne, our 1961 vintage Airstream dressing lounge. It gives the other half of the wedding party their own private, photo-worthy place to gather and get ready.

A rain plan should be more than “we’ll figure it out.” Ask where the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and entertainment would move if the weather changes.
At Haiku, we use our indoor spaces, covered areas, tent options, and layout worksheet to help create a plan that works for your guest count and event flow.

Before comparing venues, make sure you are comparing what is actually included. Some venues provide the space only, while others include tables, chairs, linens, decor, staffing, coordination, or cleanup.
Haiku packages include much more than the space. Depending on your package, this may include coordination support, ceremony chairs, reception tables and chairs, black linens, decor, soft seating, bar staff, catering kitchen access, setup, and cleanup.
