Pop-Ups & Elopements

What is a Pop-up Wedding?

It is a smaller, more intimate ceremony that can be performed anywhere with you and four to fifteen of your closest friends. If that’s still too much, then an elopement is the celebration for you. Invite just a couple of friends and throw a smaller party, but one that is still lots of fun. Either way, haiku I Do makes your Big Day an event you will remember for a lifetime.

With multiple packages to choose from that are fabulous and affordable, we are committed to providing you with charming options for creating your own beautiful ceremony;

We are a one-stop of wedding planners, florists, officiants, photographers, and so much more.

You and your guests just show up dressed, and we do the rest.

What Suits Him

A few factors to consider when shopping for a wedding suit are the dress code, color, and style. If the wedding calls for formal attire, opt for sharply tailored suits in classic colors like navy and black - alternatively, opt for a three-piece suit for a more dramatic look.

For casual dress codes, go for less structured silhouettes and forgo ties and pocket squares. Next, consider the time of year. Spring and summer weddings feature lighter fabrics like linen and cotton, whereas fall and winter weddings feature heavier wools in deeper colors such as burgundy and emerald green.

Last but not least, don't be afraid to show off your style! There are many ways to accessorize your wedding suit, from eye-catching ties and bow ties to stylish tuxedo shoes to statement-making socks.

Bridesmaid Inspiration

Your bridesmaids are the compliment to you and your dress and everyone needs to look their best. If you thought deciding on your bridal dress was tricky, the issue of selecting dresses for bridesmaids can be minefield. However, a few pointers can help smooth the process...

1) Bridesmaids are generally expected to pay for their own dress, a gentle reminder about this could be timely. Remember to take their budgets into account when choosing outfits.

2) Should your bridesmaids have a wide age range consider differing dress styles in the same color to suit. Another option is the same style dress in different shades of color.

3) If you select strapless, one shoulder or halter neck styles make sure everybody has a suitable bra - stay bra straps aren't something you want to see.

4) When ordering the dresses, ensure you allow enough time to have alterations done. A few extra weeks before the date should be plenty of time but speak to the seamstress. It is always better to get a large size and have it taken in than letting a smaller one out.

The Reception

Wedding Entertainment

Although you, yourselves, will be the stars of the “show” let’s not forget that there will be many long periods for guests to be waiting while you are being photographed; while the venue is changed over for the evening party. During these times some entertainment will break the ice between your families, distract younger guests and provide a sense ofd flow between the main parts of the day.

A tarot card reader could be hired to visit each table during the wedding breakfast and entertain each group in turn for a few minutes. Work out how many tables you have and allow five to ten minutes for each one plus some extra for moving around.

For the children it can be a long time to behave nicely; a balloon modeler, puppeteer or even, a sitting service could be hired for the day. Face painters are also popular with children.

Live music can give a sophisticated feel to the evening. You could hire a saxophonist or pianist for your guests to enjoy. Or maybe there is a local band you’ve heard at another party? DJ’s, are of course, big demand for the evening. The best ones will be booked up quickly so make sure you book in advance. Think about the style of music you and your guests would like to listen to, from dance to rock ‘n’ roll. But don’t worry, once you book with Haiku, we’ll share our vendor list which consists of multiple reception ideas and contacts.

In the end, remember it’s your special day, so make sure it is personal and memorable for the two of you.
