You have questions, we have answers!
Q: Do you provide rehearsals, and when will ours be?
A: We are more of a hand holding venue. Your day of coordinator will line you and your bridal party up and tell them where to walk and stand.
Q: Will there be other weddings booked on my day?
A: No, multiple weddings will not be booked at the Haiku Zen Garden and Chapel.
Q: Are there any hidden fees
A: No, our price is our price. No taxes (except the state’s cut on the bar) or surcharges.
Q: Do we need to buy liability insurance?
A: We require each event to purchase liability insurance. Many policies are affordable and offer peace of mind for couples.
Q: Can we bring our own alcohol
A: No, you don't need to bring your own alcohol. The venue has all necessary permits for serving beer, wine, and liquor. Additionally, we offer a curated cocktail menu featuring signature drinks for your enjoyment.
Q: Do you allow animals/pets on the property for events?
A: Haiku does allow dogs, with a $125 dog fee. They may be brought in 15 minutes before the ceremony and must leave after the ceremony/photo with a dog sitter.
Pro-tip: We highly recommend having a designated pet handler for your wedding day, and we will gladly provide to them our Four-legged Friend policy.
Q: Do you allow food trucks?
A: We do allow food trucks at our venue, as they are a licensed and insured professional caterer.
Tip: Don’t forget about serving staff! If you hire a food truck for your reception, be sure to ask if they have staff you can hire to bus tables like a traditional catering service would provide.
Q: Can my friend officiate my wedding?
A: Yes, with proper ordination. Just ask Haiku how to get licensed.
Q: Do I have to use one of your vendors?
A: No, once you book, we provide a suggested list. However, you are more than welcome to use whomever you want with no additional charge.
Q: Can we have sparklers
A: Yes! However, you cannot have fireworks, confetti, fake flower petals, birdseed, or smoke bombs.
Q: How late can my event go?
A. We follow the City of Asheville noise ordinance.
Q: Do we need a tent?
A: We strongly suggest a tent for parties of 75+
Q: Are you handicapped accessible
A: Yes
Q: Are playlists provided?
A: Haiku’s garden is wired for sound, we accept Spotify playlists. When booking a wedding or party over 50+ a band or DJ is required to keep your vibes going.
